Ingredients
·1 pound fresh ripe figs, stemmed
·1 pound green grapes, stemmed
·1/2 pound raisins
·1 vanilla bean or 1 tsp. vanilla extract

·2 cups filtered water
·juice of half a lemon

Place all the ingredients in a stainless steel pan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, then reduce heat to a simmer and cook until thick, about 40 minutes. Add lemon juice. Ladle the hot fig-grape mixture into clean jars and chill uncovered overnight. The next day, cover each jar with plastic wrap. Keep in the refrigerator. Enjoy on toast or bagels!
